Preschool - Kindergarten
Our preschool-kindergarten pod is for students ages 3-6. We aim to keep these classes fun, engaging, and full of hands-on activities.
Flexibility
There are four class hours offered each Monday, with a 30-minute Assembly time built into the middle of the day.
CCHC allows students to take anywhere from one to four classes each Monday. Your child does not have to enroll in all four hours of classes.
If your student is not 3-6 years old, but you would like him/her to take one or more classes in this pod, please contact the pod leader for permission to enroll your child. Remember, your child can take some classes in this pod and some classes in another. Our classes are registered for individually so you can match your child to the class that fits him/her best!
Fall 2026
Each class summary includes a workload. Workload refers to the amount of homework expected outside of class hours.
0= no homework, 1= optional homework, 2= less than 30 minutes of homework a week
3= student may have a presentation/final project to prepare, or less than 1 hour a week
4=student may have 3-4 days a week of homework
5= student may have daily reading, occasional assignments, or 30-45 minutes of daily homework 5+= student may have up to a full hour of daily homework/reading along with tests/quizzes
First Hour

Fabulous Fun Phonics and Calming Curly Cursive
Welcome all phonics and cursive explorers! We will have a blast introducing, practicing, and learning phonics: the relationship between sounds of speech (spoken language) and alphabetical letters (written language). We will use those fabulous fun phonics skills and combine them with calming curly cursive skills to deepen each student’s understanding of sounds and letters. These precious skills will be introduced in interactive, engaging, and fun new ways to your precious learners!
*All ages and abilities are welcome!

Second Hour

Tiny Book Club
Each week we'll read a delightful picture book together, talk about the story and characters, and bring the book to life with a hands-on craft and a kid-friendly snack inspired by the story. This playful class helps children build a love of books while practicing listening, imagination, and creativity. Perfect for little learners who enjoy stories, art, and sharing ideas with friends!
*All snacks will be dye-free and nut-free

Third Hour

Miraculous Movement and Imaginative Ideas

Imagination + Movement = Team Idea! Join Team Idea as we work on gross and fine motor skills, balance, coordination, and team building skills in this unique and Imaginative ways! We will work out muscles and our minds through movement, as we socialize, build friendships, and imagine!

Fourth Hour
12:00-12:55
Letters, Numbers, and Show & Tell
CLOSED
We will focus on different letters and numbers every week. We'll use story books, show and tell, crafts, and games to learn the alphabet and numbers 1-20. The kids will practice handwriting and have fun all at the same time!
